Monique Janssen M.Ed.
Registered Psychologist

At Haven Psychological Services I provide psychoeducational assessment services to children and adolescents to clarify their strengths and needs related to learning and everyday functioning.

Psychoeducational Assessment

(Children and Adolescents)

My assessments are child centered, seeking to highlight the child’s strengths and generate next steps for support in a way that centers from their perspective. My extensive experience working within a variety of TVDSB schools allows me to provide assessment reports that assist in the development of an Individual Education Plan (IEP) by clearly identifying strengths, needs, next steps, and helpful accommodations and supports.

I have worked in Psychological Services for Thames Valley District School Board since September 2014, and I have experience assessing students for giftedness, learning disability, intellectual disability, ADHD and executive functioning difficulties, as well as screening for social-emotional and behavioural concerns. I have worked with students with a range of backgrounds and life experiences including students with autism, from multilingual backgrounds, and those who have physical impairments.

Qualifications and experience

I am a Psychologist in London Ontario registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO) in the area of school psychology. Prior to completing a Master’s of Education (2012), I completed a Bachelor’s of Education (2010) so I am also registered with the Ontario College of Teachers to teach primary and junior grade students.
